One of the first things people notice about you is your smile. Teeth whitening is a simple way to improve your smile and look younger simultaneously, all from the comfort of your own home.
Our procedure is fairly simple. After a quick check to make sure you have no leaky fillings or any other potential problems, we’ll make an impression of your teeth in order to create a set of custom-made trays designed to fit your teeth snugly. We’ll provide a special professional strength whitening gel that you’ll place into the trays to fit onto your teeth. This enables the whitening gel to seep deep into your teeth.
You’ll wear the trays for a minimum of 20 minutes every day. You can wear them whenever you like, for as long as you like. Just make sure to get that minimum amount of time in. Many people see the results they want after just a couple of weeks, but you’re free to wear them for as long as it takes to get the whiteness you desire.
How Teeth Whitening Works
The whitening gel we provide for you contains peroxide. As you wear the trays, it penetrates into the enamel and dentin of your teeth and releases tiny bubbles of oxygen. This oxygen will oxidize the stains, bleaching them away. Not only will the peroxide remove the accumulated stains from years of staining food and beverages, but if you bleach for long enough, your teeth will even be whiter than when you were a child.
The procedure is permanent. But though the old stains will never return, you will again begin to accumulate new stains on your teeth. How soon that will happen depends on your eating, drinking, and oral hygiene habits. If you keep your trays, then all you’ll need to do is get some new gel every few years for a “touch up.”
