I’m getting porcelain veneers put on my upper teeth, but can’t afford to have my bottom teeth done. Is there something less expensive I can do for the bottom teeth?
Danielle- Colorado
Danielle,
Most people who get a smile makeover, don’t have the porcelain veneers put on their bottom teeth. I hope your dentist didn’t imply you needed them on both arches. There are exceptions, but generally people get the porcelain veneers put on their upper arch.
They way you can deal with your lower arch is simply to use teeth whitening. However, you will want to make sure that you whiten them to match the color for your veneers. The best plan is to whiten your lower teeth to the shade you want and then have your dentist match your veneers.
If your dentist isn’t telling you these things, I’m not sure I would trust him to do your veneers.
