I was thinking about getting some cosmetic dentistry done. It’s pretty expensive here. I live near the border, so I was thinking about going international to get it done. It’s significantly cheaper there. Is that okay to do?

If you’re asking if it’s legal, yes. If you’re asking if it’s a good idea, I wouldn’t recommend it. While it may be cheaper, but you’re likely to regret it. They don’t have the same protective standards. The cleanliness and sterilization of the equipment are completely up to the discretion of the dentist.
Then, after the cosmetic dentistry is done, if something goes wrong you have no real recourse. Again, it’s up to the dentist.
Cheap can actually become very expensive. If the smile ends up as a disaster or if you end up with a serious infection as a result of less than quality precautions, it will cost you a fortune.
