Can you tell me why my dentist insists I need two weeks between aligners? It really only takes a few day for my teeth to move into the new position. Isn’t it possible mine move faster than other peoples?
Jerry D. – Benton, AR
Actually, your teeth move at the same rate as everyone else’s teeth do. While your teeth move into the new position in just a few days, you need the remainder of the two weeks to enable your teeth’s roots to adjust to the new position with proper bone structure.
On the upside, Invisalign works about twice as fast as traditional braces even with you having to keep each set of aligners in for the entire time.
