I don’t know if you’ve ever watched friends, but if you’ve seen the episode where Ross gets his teeth whitened and ends up with a glow in the dark smile, you’ll know what I’m dealing with. I got Zoom Whitening procedure done on my teeth. They told me they’d get as white as possible, I just didn’t know they meant nuclear. I can’t go around like this. Should I just drink coffee day and night to stain them a little bit or is there another solution?

Abbey,
Don’t go on a coffee binge yet. Zoom gets pretty bright, but it will settle back down to something less nuclear in a couple of weeks. It’s important to let your dentist know what level of whitening you’re hoping for when you begin a treatment. It will help your dentist determine which procedure is best for you.
With at-home teeth whitening, you can control the level of whiteness. It’s still professional strength, and you’ll still be monitored by a dentist, but you have more control. You simply wear the whitening tray (with the gel inside) each day for a certain amount of time. When you reach the brightness you wanted, you stop. It’s that simple.
Zoom is generally for those who want their teeth as white as they can possibly get.
