My husband and I have a playful bet on. I thought, as a dentist, you could determine the winner. My husband said Pres. Trump’s teeth were too straight compared to his teeth in the “good old days” and that they have to be porcelain veneers. I don’t think porcelain veneers get that white and think it’s a combination of his tanned skin and super-whitening. Who wins?

That level of whitening can be achieved with both porcelain veneers and professional teeth whitening. Combine that with his dark skin and his teeth will look even whiter.
It is hard to find older pictures of President Trump from years ago. He didn’t show his teeth much. When he did smile, they stayed behind his lips. These days he smiles a bit more. That’s likely a result of the improvements on his teeth. We did find one, though, which is a bit grainy.
As you can tell from the before image, his teeth are a bit uneven. They’re not very bright and there’s the occasional gap. Teeth whitening alone cannot fix those issues alone. Porcelain veneers are the most likely culprit. Fortunately, we don’t have to guess. Dr. Hall did an extensive post about “The Donald’s” teeth. You can click to read it here.
What Porcelain Veneers Can Do for a Smile
Porcelain veneers are the top of the line smile makeover. They can change just about anything you want to with your smile— their color, their shape, their size. They can close gaps, repair chips, and make crooked teeth appear straight. Even the character of a smile can be redesigned. Adding a little length makes you look younger. Giving them a tiny bit of width gives an air of authority.
However, not everyone can do a smile makeover. You’ll want to look at the dentist’s smile gallery to make sure they get beautiful results. The skills and artistry vary widely from dentist to dentist. If you like the results they get, you’ll also want to be certain you get some kind of beautiful smile guarantee.
