I had dental bonding done for a chipped tooth. It doesn’t match the rest of the tooth and I’m feeling a little self-conscious about it. Do I ask my dentist to re-do it or just go to a different dentist? If my dentist re-does it, will I be expected to pay again?

Before you completely ditch your dentist, I’d give him an opportunity to make this right. It takes some skill to do beautiful dental bonding. Cosmetic dentistry is as much about artistry as skill.
If he doesn’t get it right the second time, than yes, I would look for a cosmetic dentist with more expertise.
Your dentist should not charge you for him re-doing it. The bonding should have matched to begin with so, technically, he’s just finishing the procedure.
